Karl Oyston: 'Blackpool have no control over Tom Ince's future'

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston reveals that the club have no control over the future of Tom Ince, who is expected to leave Bloomfield Road on a free transfer this summer.

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has admitted that the club have no control over Tom Ince's future, with the winger expected to leave permanently this summer.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at Bloomfield Road at the end of June and has been in negotiations with Inter Milan, who are the current favourites to capture his signature.

Oyston revealed that Ince's future will be decided by the player himself, along with his father Paul Ince, with the situation being out of the club's control "for quite some time".

"It's largely been outside of our control and has been for quite some time," Oyston told Sky Sports News. "Tom will decide, along with Paul where he will go and where his future lies.

"I'd say it won't be here, he'll either go abroad - which has already been all over the press - or he'll remain domestically.

"We paid a modest fee for him. He's been out on loan at Crystal Palace - so we got a fee for that. There's no guarantee with footballers that you ever get a fee for them. So there's no way I can influence that, they will make a decision on what is best for Tom's career."

Ince joined Blackpool from Liverpool in 2011.
