Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle believes that Kevin Davies has produced the form that once got him called up to the England squad.
The veteran striker scored both goals as struggling Bolton collected a 2-2 draw from their trip to Sunderland earlier today.
When asked about Davies's recent performances, Coyle revealed that the 35-year-old has become a valuable member of his starting lineup.
"Kevin Davies was terrific. He is not only a wonderful player but he is a terrific leader for this football club as captain," Coyle told reporters.
"He has been roaring back over the last couple of months showing the form that got him into the England team last year and that is what we will need for the last two games."
Davies made his one and only appearance for England against Montenegro in 2010.
