Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has explained his decision to bring experienced strikers Emile Heskey and Eidur Gudjohnsen to the club.
Lennon moved to add the veterans to his squad shortly before Christmas, and the Northern Irishman said that the pair's collective hunger was a big factor behind his thinking.
He told Sky Sports News: "I knew about their age but I also knew about their quality.
"I've known Emile since he was a boy and he still had the desire to come here, it was never about money.
"I keep saying to players to keep going as long you can and they're playing really really well. They've come in with no airs and graces and it's about their hunger to keep going."
Bolton travel to Liverpool in the FA Cup on Saturday.
