Fabian Johnson praises "brave" Borussia Monchengladbach

Fabian Johnson hails the positivity that Borussia Monchengladbach showed during their 3-1 win over Bayern Munich.

An attacking mentality was the main reason as to why Borussia Monchengladbach got the better of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich yesterday afternoon, according to Fabian Johnson.

The USA international was among the goals as Monchengladbach recorded a 3-1 win over Pep Guardiola's men.

Speaking after the final whistle, the 27-year-old insisted that his side were rewarded for their bravery.

"The fact it went so well, perhaps we didn't even expect that. That makes the win all the sweeter," he told reporters.

"We were brave and unlike a lot of other teams we didn't sit back. That paid off in the end."

The victory has kept Monchengladbach in third position, 14 points adrift of Bayern.
