Bournemouth's Nathan Ake: 'Leicester City's Jamie Vardy is a clever striker'

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake praises the ability of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture between the two sides.

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has described Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy as "very clever" ahead of the Premier League fixture between the two sides.

Vardy has enjoyed an excellent start to 2018, with the England international netting five goals in his last six outings in all competitions.

Bournemouth head into the game at the King Power Stadium having failed to win either of their last two matches in the top flight, and Ake has acknowledged that he and his teammates will have to work hard in order to stop Vardy from adding to his recent scoring streak.

The 23-year-old told the Bournemouth Echo: "Jamie Vardy is a really good striker. He is quick so we have to focus on this and look to keep him out of the game.

"He is quite smart and you always have to be 100% focused because one long ball and he can be out of the way. He is very clever. I think it will be a good test and, hopefully, we will do well."

Bournemouth currently sit four points adrift of Leicester in the standings.
