Liverpool are reportedly planning to replace Emre Can with Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook, with a £20m swoop allegedly being prepared.
Can, who has less than six months left on his current deal and is free to agree a pre-contract deal with another club, is understood to be on the radar of Juventus, who want the German international on a free at the end of the season.
According to The Sun, the Reds are preparing for Can's exit by planning a move for Cook, who the newspaper says has been on the club's list of potential targets since his move to the south coast from Leeds United two years ago.
Liverpool have reportedly been tracking the 21-year-old's progress under Eddie Howe, and are impressed with his performances in the heart of the Cherries team.
Cook was the captain of the England Under-20 side that lifted the World Cup last summer - the nation's first major trophy since 1966.
