Jamie Vardy is passed fit to start for Leicester City's trip to Bournemouth.

Jamie Vardy has been passed fit to start for Leicester City's trip to Bournemouth this afternoon.

The Foxes frontman has been left out of the England squad for next week's World Cup qualifiers as he continues to manage recovery from a hip problem, but is deemed well enough to start for Craig Shakespeare's side today.

There are two changes from the XI that lost 3-2 to Liverpool on home turf last weekend as Shakespeare looks to improve on a poor points return of just four from the side's opening six games.

Shinji Okazaki continues alongside Vardy up front, while Riyad Mahrez drops to the bench as Demarai Gray joins Marc Albrighton, Andy King and Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield.

The other alteration sees Christian Fuchs replace Ben Chilwell at left-back in an otherwise-unchanged defensive line, with Danny Simpson on the right and Wes Morgan and Harry Maguire at centre-back.

For the hosting Cherries, Eddie Howe makes two alterations to the XI that started the 2-1 defeat at Everton last Saturday as he looks for just a second positive result this season.

Jermain Defoe and Joshua King continue to provide the attacking threat, while Dan Gosling drops down to the bench after taking a heavy knock towards the end of the game against the Toffees.

Jordon Ibe is also relegated to the substitutes as Lewis Cook and Marc Pugh come in alongside Junior Stanislas and Andrew Surman.

The back four of Adam Smith, Simon Francis, Nathan Ake and Charlie Daniels is unchanged, while Asmir Begovic stays put between the posts.

Bournemouth: Begovic; A Smith, Francis, Ake, Daniels; Stanislas, L Cook, Surman, Pugh; King; Defoe
Subs: Boruc, S Cook, Gosling, Ibe, Fraser, Mousset, Afobe

Leicester City: Schmeichel; Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs; Albrighton, Ndidi, King, Gray; Okazaki, Vardy
Subs: Hamer, Chilwell, Iheanacho, Amartey, Slimani, Iborra, Mahrez
