Ipswich are on course to put an end to their poor recent form, taking a 1-0 lead into half-time against top-of-the-table Brighton.

Out-of-form Ipswich Town have taken a 1-0 lead into half-time of their Championship match against high-flying Brighton & Hove Albion this evening.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas tested Thomas Kuszczak early on with a low shot, but the Brighton keeper got down well to save.

The hosts enjoyed the next chance as they broke at speed through Andrea Orlandi and Ashley Barnes, the latter of whom teed up Stephen Dobbie to shoot, but Scott Loach was equal to it.

The visitors took the lead after 26 minutes when Carlos Edwards swung a deep cross into Daryl Murphy, who headed past Kuszczak.

If everything stays the same, Brighton will be overhauled at the top of the Championship table, while Ipswich would move out of the relegation zone.
