Chris Hughton credits Manager of the Month gong to players

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton credits his Manager of the Month award to his players.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has described his Premier League Manager of the Month Award as a "wonderful" achievement for the club.

The Seagulls manager beat Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp, Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino, Watford's Javi Gracia and Huddersfield Town's David Wagner to February's gong after guiding his team to two wins and a draw.

Hughton, who had never won the accolade before, credited the achievement to his players.

"It's a wonderful achievement for the club and certainly for a group of players that have improved as the season has gone on and knowing that we've still got a lot of work to do," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

Meanwhile, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was named as Premier League Player of the Month for February.
