Sean Dyche: 'Burnley are capable of great things'

Sean Dyche hails the "fantastic things" which he has seen developing within his Burnley team following the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest today.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has claimed that "fantastic things" are developing within his team after watching the Clarets register a 1-1 draw away to Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

Sam Vokes fired the visitors into a 28th-minute lead, before Forest hit back through Simon Cox but, despite enjoying a wealth of possession, Billy Davies's men failed in their attempts to forge a winner - which he labelled a "travesty".

Consequently, Dyche's men - who remain top of the Championship - extended their unbeaten record to 12 matches and, speaking to his club's official website, the 42-year-old said that he is excited by what the future holds for his charges.

"We know we can play with the ball better, but to have that resilience, respect and work ethic shows fantastic things are happening and I thought the supporters showed that," Dyche said.

"We've done it many times this season, but there were really good signs of other things today and I think it's a valuable point."

"There are many different ways of getting points and staying unbeaten and I thought we showed a great resilience and honesty for the Burnley shirt today."

Leicester City's 2-1 victory over Ipswich Town means that Burnley sit at the summit of the league table on goal difference.

The table-toppers travel to Huddersfield Town in England's second tier next weekend.
