Celtic and Dundee head in at half-time with the score at 1-0, thanks to a goal from Gary Hooper for Neil Lennon's side.

Celtic had a penalty saved late into the half as they head in a half-time with the score at 1-0 against Dundee at Parkhead.

The first chance fell to Celtic after just two minutes when Lassad Nouioui set up Gary Hooper, though the forward fired his shot over the bar.

Three minutes later, Celtic won a free kick 30 yards from goal, which Charlie Mulgrew curled narrowly wide.

Dundee had a call for a penalty turned down on eight minutes when Emilio Izaguirre brought down Gary Irvine in the area.

Celtic dominated the early stages and came close again on 12 minutes when James Forrest shot just wide of the post from 25 yards out.

The away side nearly took a surprise lead after 16 minutes when Colin Nish found himself in on goal, though his shot was well saved by Fraser Forster.

After 19 minutes, Kris Commons's cross was dummied by Hooper into Lassad, but his effort was saved by Rab Douglas.

Celtic won a penalty on 37 minutes when Kyle Benedictus brought down Lassad. Scott Brown stepped up to take the spot kick and saw it saved by Douglas to keep the score at 0-0.

The home side finally made the breakthrough just before half-time when Hooper finished emphatically after some good work from Celtic's forward line.
