Scottish Premiership roundup: Wins for Inverness and Celtic

Inverness and Celtic both win to remain level at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Both Celtic and Inverness secured comfortable wins on Saturday, with the latter staying ahead of their rivals on goal difference.

Neil Lennon's side were involved in the early kickoff, and saw a Georgios Samaras hat-trick help them to clinch a 5-2 win over Kilmarnock after seeing their three-goal lead reduced to one ahead of half time.

Things were less complicated for Inverness who sealed a 3-0 win over Hibernian with Billy McKay continuing his fine scoring form with a double.

Elsewhere, Motherwell defeated Ross County with John Sutton also scoring a brace, while Hearts and St Johnstone were held at home by Dundee United and Partick respectively.

Results in full: Kilmarnock 2-5 Celtic; Hearts 0-0 Dundee United; Inverness 3-0 Hibernian; Motherwell 3-1 Ross County; St Johnstone 1-1 Partick.
