Team News: Charlton Athletic striker Igor Vetokele rested for Blackpool trip

Igor Vetokele is rested by Charlton Athletic for their meeting with Championship strugglers Blackpool.

Igor Vetokele has missed out on a place in the Charlton Athletic squad for the Championship clash with bottom club Blackpool.

The striker and Tal Ben-Haim have both been given a rest, while Yoni Buyens and Frederic Bulot, who both started Saturday's loss to Blackburn Rovers, are forced to settle for places on the bench.

Charlton boss Guy Luzon reacted to that defeat by handing recalls to Alou Diarra, Chris Eagles, Joe Gomez and Simon Church.

Charles Dunne was initially expected to start for Blackpool, but illness has forced the defender to drop out of the squad and David Ferguson takes his place in the side.

Jamie O'Hara and Niall Maher are both still on the sidelines with injury, while Tony McMahon misses the game due to suspension.

Blackpool: Lewis, Barkhuizen, Hall, Clarke, Ferguson, Perkins, Addison, Jacobs, Orlandi, Telford, Madine

Charlton: Henderson; Solly, Fox, Gomez, Johnson; Gudmundsson, Diarra, Cousins, Eagles; Watt, Church
