Demba Ba admits Chelsea frustration

Chelsea striker Demba Ba reveals it is frustrating being forced to watch on from the sidelines, but confirms he will remain completely professional.

Chelsea striker Demba Ba has admitted his frustrations at being forced to be a spectator for much of the Blues' season thus far.

The Senegal international, who was denied a deadline day move to Arsenal in the recent transfer window, was handed just his second start of the campaign for the 3-1 victory over Norwich City on Sunday.

However, despite conceding that it is "difficult" to be on the fringes of manager Jose Mourinho's plans, the 28-year-old believes his professionalism and hard work will ultimately result in a prolonged spell in the first team.

"It's difficult to be left on the sidelines but, as I'm a professional, and a good one, I always work hard and wait for moments like this," Ba told the club's official website.

"It's all about giving 100 per cent and showing that you should be picked for the next game. I showed that and gave my best and when I came off I was happy with my performance.

Ba, who joined the Premier League giants from Newcastle in January, has a contract until 2016 at Stamford Bridge.
