Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that he was 'honoured' to play his 300th Premier League game for the club during Saturday's 4-1 win over Cardiff City.
The 31-year-old, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Rennes in 2004, helped the Blues climb up to second place in the table as they came from behind to beat the Welsh side.
"When I joined the club I wanted to become the number one goalkeeper," Sky Sports News quotes Cech as saying. "To play 300 Premier League games is a great honour.
"If I keep my standards and level of the game the same I will have more chances to play and to get more games. It's up to me."
Chelsea return to Champions League action on Tuesday when they travel to Schalke 04.
