Glenn Hoddle: "Diego Costa is the real deal"

Former Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle feels that in-form Blues striker Diego Costa has all the attributes needed to have long-term success in the Premier League.

Glenn Hoddle believes that Chelsea striker Diego Costa is the "real deal" after his impressive start to life in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has scored seven goals in his four appearances in the top flight this season, and former Blues boss Hoddle feels that he has the perfect set of attributes to succeed in England.

He wrote in the Daily Mail: "Diego Costa is the real deal as a striker. His attributes look tailor-made for English football.

"He has a bit of everything about him. He is great at holding the ball up, has enough speed to get in behind defenders, can work the 18-yard box and is clearly not going to be intimidated by physical opponents."

Chelsea face Manchester City in their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium later today.
