Jose Mourinho explains Loic Remy absence

Jose Mourinho reveals that Loic Remy injured himself in training ahead of Chelsea's visit to neighbours Queens Park Rangers.

Jose Mourinho has explained that Loic Remy is missing from Chelsea's starting lineup after injuring himself in training on Saturday.

Didier Drogba starts up front for the Blues as they travel to local rivals Queens Park Rangers, and Mourinho is confident that the veteran Ivorian can adequately fill in as the lone striker.

Mourinho told Sky Sports News: "Loic is injured, he got a kick yesterday in training and the muscle is sore. He hasn't got free movement and he didn't recover.

"We never cry about [injuries], we just trust the people who are on the pitch and the one who is one the pitch is Didier Drogba. Today we forget about Loic and Diego [Costa].

"We are playing a team who are fighting for points and fighting to stay in the division, but it is also difficult for them because they are playing a good team."
