Tiemoue Bakayoko 'completes AC Milan loan move'

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko reportedly completes a season-long loan move to AC Milan, with the deal including an option to buy for £35.6m.

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has reportedly completed a season-long loan move to Italian outfit AC Milan.

The 23-year-old only joined Chelsea last summer, but he struggled to settle in England and his performances often drew criticism despite playing 43 times in 2017-18.

Official confirmation has not yet arrived from either club, but Sky in Italy is reporting that a deal to take Bakayoko on an initial loan to AC Milan has now been finalised.

The deal is understood to include an option to buy for £35.6m next summer should Milan want to keep him at San Siro for longer than the original 12-month spell.

Bakayoko was not included in the Chelsea squad to face Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the Premier League season and is understood to be surplus to requirements under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
