Didier Drogba has reportedly rejected the chance to return to Chelsea, despite being open to a move away from Shanghai Shenhua.
The 34-year-old, who left the West London outfit for the Chinese Super League team last summer, is said to have begun talks with Turkish club Galatasaray after turning down a return to the Premier League.
It is understood that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich tried to please the fans by offering Drogba a six-month deal with an option of a further year, but the frontman opted for a switch to Turkey instead, according to the Daily Mail.
Drogba, who is currently representing the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, spent eight years at Chelsea.
