Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed that he has held contract negotiations with the club over the past few days.
The 34-year-old's current deal is due to expire in the summer, meaning that from next month he can begin to discuss terms with other clubs.
With that in mind, the England international had been linked with a free transfer to a number of clubs, including Queens Park Rangers and Los Angeles Galaxy.
However, speaking after his two goals helped the Blues claim all three points from their trip to Everton this afternoon, Lampard admitted that he has begun talks about extending his stay at Stamford Bridge.
"We have been talking [about a new contract] in the last couple of weeks and I'm am just concentrating on playing. Playing games gives me enough satisfaction then what will be will be," he told BBC Sport.
Lampard joined Chelsea from London rivals West Ham United in 2001.
