Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has risked facing Football Association action after reopening the debate over Dwight Gayle's dismissal last weekend.
The Eagles forward was sent off for two bookable offences inside the opening 45 minutes against West Ham United at Selhurst Park.
Pardew criticised referee Mark Clattenburg for the "harsh" decision, although he is thought to have escaped any sort of warning from the FA.
However, the Palace chief is still 'frustrated' by the call and is refusing to back down from his previous views.
"Everybody has had their piece of it, my view is the same," The Mirror quotes him as saying. "I still think it was a bit harsh, the second card. There was a bit of frustration. In the period I've been at Palace, we've not had an opposing player sent off. Yet we've got three flying wingers and it never happens to us.
"So there is a bit of frustration in there that might bias my views slightly. Having said that, I have spoken to Dwight this week and he put himself at risk with that challenge. It can't happen again. He understands that.
"Do I think my players are not getting enough protection? Sometimes I do, there has been couple of times that call has not been good for us. Sometimes the stats don't lie. I don't understand it. In all the games that we play, we've had some incidents with three or four challenges after a yellow card. It is a bit frustrating but not going to hark on about it. Let's move on."
West Ham went on to win the game 3-1 thanks to two late goals in South London.
