England are attempting to take teenager Karamoko Dembele from under the noses of rivals Scotland, according to a report.
The 13-year-old made headlines last week after being brought on for the final nine minutes of an Under-20s match for club side Celtic, playing against and alongside players up to seven years his senior.
Dembele has already been linked with a move south of the border, but his first big decision could be which national team gets his blessing.
The Sun reports that the Scottish Football Association is desperate to keep him on board through the age ranks, and is therefore looking to call him up to the the Under-16s squad for next month's Victory Shield.
England are themselves plotting to nab him, however, and are waiting in the wings if the creative talent decides to opt against representing the Tartan Army.
