The Football Association has confirmed that Fabian Delph has left England's World Cup camp to return home for the birth of his child.
Delph played the full 90 minutes of the Three Lions' 1-0 defeat to Belgium on Thursday evening before flying back to England soon after.
Partner Natalie is due to give birth to the couple's third child on Saturday, and 13-cap Delph will now be by her side as England do not return to action until next Tuesday's last-16 tie against Colombia.
Speaking in May about the possible predicament he faced, the Manchester City player told reporters: "She's tough; she's a Yorkshire lass so she'll deal with it [if I can't return home]."
Delph also featured for the final half-hour of England's 6-1 destruction of Panama when replacing Jesse Lingard.
