Roberto Martinez: 'Teams have changed their approach at Goodison'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez believes that his side's inconsistent displays at Goodison Park this season are down to the change in approach of visiting teams.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez has claimed that his side's inconsistent form at Goodison Park this season is due to their opponents changing their approach.

The Toffees have recorded just two home wins in their seven league matches in front of their own fans this season as they struggle to match their impressive form at Goodison from the last campaign.

Martinez feels that teams have travelled to face his side with a different attitude, which he believes is a sign of respect.

He told reporters: "Teams come to Goodison and they have a little bit of a different approach. That's respect. There is always a feeling Everton is one of the hardest places to visit now.

"The way the team plays puts extra attention and focus on the opposition. It's something we need to adapt to and use it to our advantage."

Everton face Queens Park Rangers at Goodison Park later today.
