Report: Everton join Newcastle United in race for Georgino Wijnaldum

Newcastle United face competition from Premier League rivals Everton for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum, according to reports.

Everton have reportedly stepped up their interest in PSV Eindhoven midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer, and the Magpies were believed to be in early negotiations with PSV earlier this week.

However, The Mirror claims that Everton have joined race for the Dutchman, and they are prepared to pay £15m and offer him £60,000 per week.

Wijnaldum captained PSV to their first Eredivisie title in seven years last season.
