Fiorentina eyeing Victor Wanyama?

Fiorentina reportedly want to sign Southampton's Victor Wanyama and will face competition from Premier League clubs for the midfielder's signature.

Fiorentina reportedly want to sign Southampton's Victor Wanyama and will face competition from several Premier League clubs.

The midfielder has been attracting interest from several clubs since his move to St Mary's, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool all rumoured to be interested in the Kenyan's services.

"Victor is aware of [Fiorentina's] interest, and he has even spoken to his brother MacDonald Mariga who is based in Italy," a close family member said, according to Nairobi News.

"But am not sure something can be worked out in January because we all know it is entirely not up to him."

Wayama is currently out injured and could be absent for five weeks, after being taken off in the first half of the Saints' FA Cup clash with Ipswich Town.
