Freiburg have played out a goalless draw with Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga this evening.
Granit Xhaka went close for the visitors on 14 minutes when he was teed up by Raffael, but his left-footed effort was well saved by goalkeeper Roman Burki.

Jonathan Schmid had an effort just before the half-hour mark for the home side, while Dani Schahin headed over the bar shortly afterwards.
Following the restart, Schmid went close when he got on the end of Admir Mehmedi's cross before the Switzerland international set up Vladimir Darida with another inviting delivery from a corner.
In the end though, neither side could make the breakthrough, and they were forced to settle for a point apiece.
