Fulham are reportedly preparing a second offer for Southampton midfielder Jack Cork after having a bid turned down within the last 48 hours.
Cork made 28 appearances for Saints in the Premier League last season in a breakthrough campaign, but faces a fight for first-team football following the arrival of Victor Wanyama from Celtic during the close-season.
Cottagers boss Martin Jol sees Cork as a versatile option capable of progressing and will test Southampton's resolve with a fresh £3m this weekend, according to The Mirror.
A potential switch to Fulham would see Cork return to West London, the area in which the England Under-21 international honed his skills as a graduate of Chelsea's academy.
