Half-Time Report: Motherwell lead going into the break

Goals from John Sutton and Lionel Ainsworth give Motherwell a 2-0 lead going into half time against Hibernian this afternoon.

Goals from John Sutton and Lionel Ainsworth have given Motherwell a 2-1 lead going into half time against Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Ainsworth aimed a shot straight at Hibernian keeper Jamie MacDonald, before Sutton tapped in to open the scoring for the visitors.

James Collins came close to equalising for the hosts, but he could only head wide.

Ainsworth then doubled Motherwell's lead when he curled in from 18 yards after nutmegging Michael Nelson.

Jordon Forster pulled one back for the home side just before the break when he placed a header into the back of the net from 10 yards.

Motherwell keeper Lee Hollis then produced a good save to deny Collins from point-blank range and preserve his side's advantage.
