Steve Bruce confident of Europa League progression

Hull City manager Steve Bruce acknowledges that it will be difficult for his side to beat Lokeren, but remains confident of progression to the Europa League.

Steve Bruce remains confident that Hull City can overturn their 1-0 first-leg deficit against Lokeren and progress through to the Europa League group stage.

The Tigers, who have already defeated Trencin over two legs in qualifying for this year's competition, must now defeat the Belgian outfit at the KC Stadium tonight.

"It's quite simple, we've got to win the match and we're capable of that, no matter what lineup I pick, we're capable of winning the game," ESPN quotes Bruce as saying.

"We know that we'd love to be in the next stages; to get in the group stages would be terrific for the club, we're aware of that. We're also aware of how difficult it is with all the pitfalls that come with it.

"We'll be going all out to try and get a result and get us through to the league situation which we'd all look forward to."

Hull strengthened their squad with the addition of Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson earlier this week, but the centre-back is ineligible to feature against Lokeren.
