Robert Koren scores the only goal of the game as Nicky Barmby's Hull City defeat Peterborough United at KC Stadium.

Hull City cemented their place in the Championship's top six with a 1-0 win over Peterborough United at the KC Stadium today.

The winning goal came in the 27th minute through midfielder Robert Koren, who scored from outside the penalty area having collected possession from Aaron McLean.

Visiting Peterborough's best chance fell to George Boyd ten minutes after the restart, but his effort from 18 yards out grazed the upright as it went wide of goal.

Hull's win marks Nick Barmby's first since taking full charge of the club.
