Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy: 'No loan arrivals'

Ipswich Town will not be taking advantage of the emergency loan window, according to manager Mick McCarthy.

Mick McCarthy has revealed that he has no plans to add to his Ipswich Town squad when the emergency loan window opens next week.

The deadline to make transfers passed on Tuesday evening, but as of next Wednesday, clubs in the Football League can make temporary additions.

However, having signed 12 players this summer and with others due to return from injury soon, McCarthy has insisted that he does not need to enter the loan market.

"I doubt I will be entering into that market. Not when I get Christophe Berra, Teddy Bishop, Daryl Murphy, Kevin Bru and Jonathan Parr back to go with the ones we have got. I will have probably got a squad of 23 so I won't need anyone else," the East Anglian Daily Times quotes the Ipswich boss as saying.

On the pitch, the Tractor Boys are next in action away at Reading on Friday, September 11.
