Ipswich Town midfielders Teddy Bishop, Kevin Bru out for up to a month

Mick McCarthy reveals that Ipswich Town are likely to be without midfielders Teddy Bishop and Kevin Bru for the next month.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has revealed that midfielders Teddy Bishop and Kevin Bru might not play again until September because of hamstring injuries.

Youngster Bishop has not played in the Blues' opening two games of the season, while Bru picked up his injury in training after scoring Ipswich's opener in the 2-2 draw at Brentford on the opening weekend of the season.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's home match against Sheffield Wednesday, McCarthy told the club website: "Kevin and Teddy will both miss out and we are looking probably at after the international break for them to return.

"It's disappointing, especially for Kevin who I thought was excellent on Saturday against Brentford but it's about managing these players and making sure they come back right."

Ipswich return to action after the international break of the season with a trip to Reading on September 11.
