Sports Mole looks ahead to Thursday's international friendly between Italy and Brazil.

There are arguably fewer bigger fixtures in international football than when Brazil and Italy meet.

Between them, they have won nine World Cups and are the two most successful nations in the history of the competition.

It may come as a surprise to learn that from the 12 meetings between these countries, Italy have the more favourable record. They have won on seven occasions, while Brazil have only managed five successes.

Real Madrid attacker Kaka has been recalled to the Brazil squad for the match, although early reports have suggested that he will start the encounter, which will be played in Switzerland on Thursday, on the bench.

However, the likes of Lucas Moura, Neymar and Oscar have all been tipped to feature from the beginning.

Veteran Francesco Totti has not been included by Italy, which is likely to see AC Milan striker Stephan El Shaarawy continue in attack. His club teammate, Mario Balotelli, may also start.
