A first-half injury-time goal from Carlos Tevez has given Juventus a 2-1 lead over Fiorentina at the Juventus Stadium in Serie A this evening.
Alberto Aquilani had a chance to give Fiorentina the lead early on when he pounced on a clearance from a corner, but Patrice Evra was in the right place to make the block.
The hosts soon started to dominate possession though, with Tevez seeing his first strike of the evening blocked, before a Stefano Sturaro effort was turned behind for a corner.
Fernando Llorente was left unmarked on the edge of the box, allowing him to pick up a forward pass and drill the ball towards the centre of the goal, but it was straight at Neto, leaving the Fiorentina keeper with a comfortable stop.
However, the visitors were handed a chance to open the scoring when Andrea Pirlo brought down Gonzalo Rodriguez in the box, leaving him to step up and fire past Gianluigi Buffon from the penalty spot.
Pirlo made amends down the other end just three minutes later though, curling the ball in from a set piece to leave Llorente with a simple header to level the scores.
It looked like the sides would be heading into the interval level until Tevez popped up in injury time, nodding an Evra chip into the box past Neto from close range.
