Lazio grab 2-0 victory over Cagliari Calcio

Lazio cruise to a 2-0 victory over Cagliari Calcio in Serie A this evening following two second-half goals.

Lazio have cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Cagliari Calcio in Serie A this evening as Vladimir Petkovic's side scored two second-half goals to win the game.

In what turned out to be a rather uneventful first half, Cagliari wasted a good chance when Victor Ibarbo found himself with space in the box, but he chose to wastefully shoot instead of squaring to a teammate.

Lazio picked up the tempo in the second half and they were rewarded in the 54th minute as substitute Miroslav Klose headed home from a cross.

The home side cemented their victory minutes later when Antonio Candreva converted from the penalty spot following a handball, leaving the final score to end 2-0.
