Reading have refused to comment on the recent speculation linking their academy manager Eamonn Dolan with the vacant Leeds United post.
Dolan, 46, is the current odds-on favourite to take over at Leeds, who are without a manager following Brian McDermott's departure last month.
Whites owner Massimo Cellino is believed to favour a British coach and has reportedly been conducting interviews recently.
The Italian is thought to be keen on a head coach working under a director of football, a role that Dolan had during his spell in charge of Exeter City last decade.
Leeds' finances are currently frozen because of a winding up order, which they will find out the verdict of tomorrow.
