Cameron Jerome accuses Giuseppe Bellusci of making racist remark

Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome accuses Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci of racially abusing him in the 1-1 draw at Carrow Road on Tuesday.

Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome has claimed that he was racially abused by Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci in Tuesday night's Championship meeting at Carrow Road.

An altercation between the pair in the first half of the 1-1 draw caused the game to be briefly stopped while referee Mark Clattenburg spoke to both players, as well as informing Norwich boss Neil Adams and Leeds manager Darko Milanic of the accusation made by Jerome.

Clattenburg took statements from both players after the final whistle, and his match report will now be examined by the Football Association, who have final say over whether Bellusci will be punished.

"Mark will submit a report to the relevant authorities and it will be dealt with from there. He didn't take any action at the time. He merely relayed what Cameron had said. It must now go through the proper channels," Adams told reporters.

"Yes, Bellusci is the player who has been alleged to have made the remark. My concern was to speak to Cameron at the break to make sure his head was right.

"We back our player. I'm sure Leeds will back their player, but other than that we can't comment any further because there is now going to be an investigation I would expect."

Milanic revealed to members of the media that he did not speak to Bellusci about the incident after the game.
