Lichtenstein have managed to frustrate Montenegro in a goalless 45 minutes in Euro 2016 qualifying at Rheinpark Stadion.
The game started with a worrying moment for the visiting defence when Liechtenstein's Seyhan Yildiz found space inside the box, but he could only head a great chance over the crossbar.
Montenegro then took control of the game following the early scare, with Milan Jovanovic forcing Peter Jehle into an impressive save just a few minutes later.
Marko Simic was the next player to waste a good chance for Montenegro when he headed wide from an inviting position.
Jehle was alert once again to prevent his side from falling behind as former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Simon Vukcevic tested the Lichtenstein keeper with a firm header of his own.
Montenegro would remain on top until the half-time whistle but could not make a breakthrough before the interval.
