Daniel Agger ruled out for Liverpool

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is forced to miss Sunday's trip to Stoke City in the Premier League with a calf strain.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has been ruled out of Sunday's trip to Stoke City in the Premier League with a calf strain.

The Dane, 29, was forced off with the problem last weekend during the Reds' 2-0 victory over Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup.

Agger will now undergo further scans to determine the full extent of the injury.

Liverpool head to the Britannia Stadium this weekend in fourth place in the Premier League table following five wins in their last seven games.
