Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp refuses to lay the blame at the feet of goalkeeper Loris Karius following his side's 2-2 draw with West Ham United.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to blame goalkeeper Loris Karius for his side's 2-2 draw with West Ham United at Anfield this evening.

Karius was unable to keep out Dimitri Payet's free kick before finding himself in no-man's land when the Hammers took the lead through Michail Antonio as Liverpool dropped valuable points in the Premier League title race.

However, Klopp believes that his side were "unlucky" to come away from the match with nothing and insists that they tried everything to get the win.

"We tried everything. The [West Ham] goals - one is a wonderful free kick and one we were very unlucky - they were a big surprise for everybody," he told Sky Sports News.

"We should have had more, we tried everything. It's a draw, we have to take it; it felt like we were the whole time in their box.

"We haven't made the right decisions, you need a little bit of luck. A draw doesn't feel too good but it doesn't feel too bad either. We are still a really good football-playing side."

The draw leaves Liverpool six points adrift of Premier League leaders Chelsea.
