Phil Foden scored his third consecutive goal against Liverpool, as Manchester City came from behind twice to rescue a 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.

Phil Foden produced another brilliant display against Liverpool as Manchester City came from behind twice to rescue a 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.

The 21-year-old gave Liverpool's stand-in right-back James Milner a torrid time down the left flank, using his pace and trickery to beat the former City midfielder on several occasions.

After Sadio Mane had broken the deadlock for the Reds just before the half-hour mark, City equalised just 10 minutes later when Foden receives a pass from Gabriel Jesus before drilling a pinpoint strike across the face of goalkeeper Allison Becker into the bottom right corner.

Mohamed Salah produced a moment of magic for the hosts in the 76th minute with a brilliant solo effort, however it was the Citizens who had the last laugh, as Foden's cross from the left wing eventually fell to Kevin De Bruyne who saw his deflected strike nestle into the back of the net, securing a point for Pep Guardiola's side.

Foden, who received a joint-Man of the Match award along with Salah after the game, has now scored in each of his last three league games against Liverpool, becoming the youngest player in Premier League history to do so since Romelu Lukaku back in 2013.

The England international has also contributed to 50% of Man City's goals in his last three appearances against Jurgen Klopp's side, finding the net three times and providing two assists.

Foden, who has now scored more goals against Liverpool than any other club so far in his career, will now turn his attention to international duty, as he is set to join up with the England squad for October's World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary.
