Everton boss Roberto Martinez expects "tough" Merseyside derby

Roberto Martinez is confident that Everton can get a result in their "tough test" against Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that his side face a "tough test" against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Tuesday.

The local rivals played out a 3-3 draw at Goodison Park in November, but Martinez is confident that Everton can do one better and get all three points.

The Toffees have shown that they can get big results on their travels this season, having secured a 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford in December.

"You need the winning mentality to win it," Everton's Twitter page quotes Martinez as saying. "We showed that at Old Trafford. We're ready to go anywhere and be ourselves.

"We go into that final third of the season trying to get as many points as we can. Tuesday will be a tough test to look forward to."

Everton are currently sixth in the Premier League table.
