Brendan Rodgers dismisses Liverpool chances of winning the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that he has not thought about winning the Premier League.

The Reds hammered Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield to move within five points of the top prior to Chelsea's 3-0 win against Newcastle United.

Speaking to BT Sport, Rodgers said: "[Winning the title] has not entered our thinking. It's very simple, it's a season where we're getting better and better and we have a young side.

"We have some wonderfully experienced players but the young players are developing very well. Winning it hasn't been on our radar. We're up against teams who've been building for a few years and they'll fancy their chances.

"Our feet are on the floor, it's a great day for the supporters and the atmosphere was electric today."

The Reds are currently fourth in the division.
