Brendan Rodgers: 'Luis Suarez has matured'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Luis Suarez has matured following his ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Luis Suarez is more mature since returning from his ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic.

The striker was forced to miss the first six games of the campaign as he completed a 10-match suspension from last season, but he has come back to score eight goals for the Reds.

Rodgers believes that the controversial Uruguayan is now understanding his responsibilities better on the pitch while maintaining his ferocious will to win.

"Over time Luis is maturing," he told ESPN.com. "He's a more responsible player since he's come back onto the field. That won't stop his desire or his will to win. It's something that if we have more throughout the squad, we'll continue to do very well."

Liverpool continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they travel to local rivals Everton.
