The England international suffered a hamstring injury in the summer, but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has added him to his matchday squad for his side's trip to the Cherries.

Simon Mignolet starts in goal, and Ragnar Klavan and Dejan Lovren have been selected in defence.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson is joined by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Georginio Wijnaldum, while Sadio Mane is dropped to the bench.

For the hosts, Jermaine Defoe returns to the starting lineup after being benched for his side's defeat to Manchester United in midweek, while Joshua King will play just behind him.

Junior Stanislas starts in midfield alongside Marc Pugh, while Nathan Ake and Adam Smith will are picked in Eddie Howe's defence.
