Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.

Liverpool will be desperate to end a five-game winless run in the Premier League when they travel to the capital to take on Tottenham Hotspur in Thursday's mouthwatering showdown.

Jurgen Klopp's men lost at Anfield for the first time in the league since April 2017 last week, as Ashley Barnes's penalty propelled Burnley to a famous 1-0 win on Merseyside.

The champions have now slipped to fourth in the table amid their winless run - six points behind current leaders Manchester United who knocked the Reds out of the FA Cup with a 3-2 triumph on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's contest.

Possible return date: January 28 (vs. Tottenham)

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson played no part against United after suffering a groin injury before the Burnley defeat. Klopp will hope to have his skipper back for Thursday's game, and he has taken part in full training recently.

Naby Keita continues to nurse the muscular problem which has kept him out of action for the past month, and the midfielder is not expected to make the trip to the capital.

Diogo Jota

Possible return date: February 13 (vs. Leicester City)

Diogo Jota's prolific start to life in red was cut short by a knee injury sustained against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League last month. Klopp has conceded that the attacker will remain in the treatment room for "a few weeks".

Joe Gomez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Joe Gomez is the first of Liverpool's two long-term defensive absentees with a serious knee injury. The centre-back was recently pictured in the gym with a visible scar on his leg, and he is fighting to come back before the end of the season.

Virgil van Dijk
