Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that player departures from the club are possible in the upcoming transfer window.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that player departures from the club are possible in the upcoming transfer window.

England international Daniel Sturridge, who has started just five Premier League games this season, is one player who could leave Anfield in January ahead of next summer's World Cup.

Klopp has not ruled out the possibility of players exiting the club, but insists that new signings must be in place if that is to happen.

"I cannot give an answer for that now," the German told reporters when asked about possible transfers. "A lot of things could happen.

"Maybe one or two players will tell me they want to make a move and go somewhere else. If that happens then we would have to consider that and make our decisions.

"As long as we have the opportunity to do something then we should think about it."

Sturridge has been linked with a move to AC Milan, while youngster Dominic Solanke has begun earning more minutes in Klopp's team.
