Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly decided that he wishes to sign a number of new defenders during the summer transfer window.
The Merseyside giants currently sit in second place in the Premier League standings, while just 15 goals have been conceded in 25 fixtures in the top flight.
However, Klopp has had to deal with a number of injury issues at the back, while the German has also allowed Nathaniel Clyne to spend the rest of the campaign on loan at Bournemouth.
According to The Sun, that has resulted in Klopp prioritising additions in defence before the start of next season, having failed to add to his ranks in January.
The report suggests that Klopp had been open to bringing in defensive cover at the start of 2019, but the club failed to make their move in the transfer market.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren have recently spent time on the sidelines.
