Kylian Mbappe 'could snub new deal if Paris Saint-Germain lose to Barcelona'

Kylian Mbappe could reportedly reject a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain if the French giants are eliminated by Barcelona in the last-16 stage of the Champions League.

Kylian Mbappe could reportedly turn down the chance to sign a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain if the French giants are eliminated from the Champions League by Barcelona.

The 21-year-old's existing deal in Paris is due to expire in June 2022, and a number of clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool, are said to be desperate to sign him.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently said that he was "very confident" of agreeing a new long-term contract with the France international, who has scored 12 times and registered eight assists in 15 appearances for Thomas Tuchel's side this term.

However, according to AS, Mbappe could decide against committing his future to the club if they are knocked out by Barca in the last-16 stage of the Champions League next year.

Real Madrid would reportedly be in a commanding position to sign the World Cup winner if he informed PSG that he wants to seek pastures new.

The former Monaco youngster has scored 102 goals and registered 59 assists in 139 appearances for PSG in all competitions.
